I've been playing around with different crops lately. You know there is the classic rule of thirds, then golden ratio, golden spiral...etc. Well I didn't think much of it thinking to myself "self a crop is a crop is it not." I knew about the attention crops give to objects and people alike (composition helps), but what I didn't realize is that it can give an image an entirely different feel. I decided to give it a try. I used the standard three: rule of thirds, golden ratio and golden spiral. It worked so well I couldn't decide which shot of the same image I liked the most (it could of been my mind playing tricks on me as well lol). Either way experiment with different crop ratios and see what works for you. Think outside the box on crops and you might give an image a new light.
