Details / by Brian Mobley

I've started to notice that the small details in photography makes all the difference. A slight raise or lowering of the chin, a slight gap between the chin and shoulder or even a simple hand placement. I know all of these things can be fixed in post, but getting it right in camera helps sharpen your skills, not to mention cut down on post work. It also helps to have a model that doesn't mind moving her shoulder an inch, pointing the toe or separating the knees slightly.

Angie was just that. She was willing to do what needed to be done to create the shot we were going for. By the time the shoot was winding down she was automatically doing the little things we were adjusting all day. For this shot I told her to think of something from the past. The goal was to get her to express what she was thinking through photography. We put the details together and it worked.
